The coronavirus is not going to stop infecting us in the upcoming years, infact there's going to be more epidemic & pandemics for these flu viruses. Its certainly not possible to prevent all the upcoming breakouts with just a single vaccine, instead we should step forward to get an absolute solution to stop these viruses from infecting the humanity.

Lots of scientists and researchers across the globe have shown the path for an absolute solution - Herd immunity, but it's not just an easy task to cultivate & eradicate the disease.

What is Herd-immunity?

Herd-immunity is a natural law that comes in action when a large population gets infected by a deadly disease and it spreads throughout the world at an alarming rate.It's considered as a mass immunity towards a disease that has become uncontrollable such as the Covid pandemic.

Let's take the example of Coronavirus. The formula stands here,

When 70-75% of the population of any country or the world gets infected in that disease, eventually some of them will die and others will become immune to that disease and they will stop the disease from spreading further.

It's a final solution when all other aspects are done but still, the disease is spreading at the same rate.

Explanation :- Red dots are persons infected with Covid-19 & greens are recovered from the disease. When more and more people get recovered, it eventually breaks the chain to infect other people and end the pandemic.

How will we get herd-immunity?

Now we are not immune to Covid-19 , so once we get infected by the virus, either we will die (rare) or we will survive and become immune to Covid-19. When we are immune to Covid-19, we are not gonna be infected with it further, so if the virus again comes to our body, we are not gonna be sick and not spread it to others.

How herd-immunity will stop spreading the disease?

When we are exposed to any disease-causing pathogen, we become sick for a period of time till antibody develops in our body and fight with the pathogen. Some people survive till then and recovers where some die of sickness before antibody is formed in them.

It usually takes 1-3 days to develop the antibodies in our body and another few days for the process to begin.It also vary from person to person based on lot of stuffs and also from which strain of the virus he has got in his body.

So, when 70-75% of the whole population gets infected, and 2-3% dies, still we have 70% people who are immune to the disease.If any sick person walking around but surrounded by all immune persons, they are not gonna spread the disease and the spreading becomes very very limited.This can be done or happen naturally until proper vaccines come.

What are the consequences?

Its where we need to stop to implant this herd-immunity concept of absolute solution.

If we allow this to happen or if this happens naturally, we are gonna lose at least 3-5% population of the world and its really so harsh that we can't let this happen by any means.But, from another point of view, if we ensure lockdown & social-distancing strictly, still we have to face lot of difficulties from economic crisis to hunger deaths and lot more.

Conclusions:-

Perhaps it's better for all the countries or the world or nature to eliminate olders and make youngers more and more strong, that's NATURAL SELECTION but it seems so immature and pointless in front of this pandemic.

The only option we have right now is to follow LOCKDOWN and SOCIAL DISTANCING strictly & help others to do so till we have a solution to end this disaster.
